  1. Ken Paskin Says:

This force started out of the old wartime volunteers. For Walsall Wood these were based in the old builders yard on the bend a few yards up from Dr Roberts surgery in Beech Tree Road. My father Tom Paskin was one of them and when they were on watch the night of the Coventry raid they reported that one of the german bombers had dropped a large bomb and it had gone into the sandpits between brickyard and shelfield. No one believed them until it fell out just a couple of so years back. Paskin
